Delivery information

Somnus Beds LTD operates on a very straightforward delivery system. This is to make sure we can provide you with the best experience from when you place an order, to when it is delivered. Making us an efficient online bedding retailer. Please refer to the information below for any queries regarding the delivery process. Prior to delivery you will receive notification from the team regarding delivery date via SMS or telephone. You will then receive contact prior to delivery also to keep you informed of an approximate window of time.

Specific delivery dates

We will do our best to fulfil specific delivery date requests, however, there is no guarantee of this as our courier services work on strict timetables. We deliver to the majority of the UK (England, Scotland & Wales) and timescales are an approximation. Standard Shipping – Door step delivery

With our standard shipping we will aim to deliver your products within 5-15 working days. Please note that timescales are an approximation. Our staff members will inform you if there are any delays and a few days prior to arrival, the estimated delivery day. Our standard shipping is a doorstep drop off and will be delivered to the communal door. Any courier that may deliver items further than the communal door can only do so as a gesture of goodwill at the discretion of the buyer, please note that Somnus Beds LTD would not be held liable for any risk to the items or the property past the communal door.

You must check the bed for any damages or faults at the time of delivery before signing the delivery note. Somnus Beds LTD cannot accept responsibility for any damages reported after the delivery team has left. You are requested to inspect all items on the day of delivery thoroughly to ensure there are no issues. In the event of an issue, you will be required to show & note this to the delivery team as well as make note on the delivery note. Any problems will need to be reported within 24 hours & pictures must be taken and sent as beyond this point Somnus Beds LTD will not be liable for any damages – See returns section for more info. Refusal to sign the delivery note will exempt you from any of our policies and Somnus Beds ltd will not be held liable for any issues or damage reported.

Premium Shipping & Assembly – (Please get in touch for this option)

With our premium shipping we will aim to deliver your products within 10 working days + Assemble the bed. Please note that timescales are an approximation. Our staff members will inform you a few days prior to arrival the estimated delivery day.

Our couriers will bring the bed into the room of your choice, unpack and fully assemble it for you. You will be contacted prior to arranging the delivery to confirm some key details to ensure the assembly service can be carried out without any issues. Please note the assembly service is for houses or ground floor flats/apartments only. Any courier that may deliver items further than the ground floor, can only do so as a gesture of goodwill at the discretion of the buyer. Due to the restricted access of flats & apartments on upper floors, Somnus Beds LTD would not be held liable for any risk to the items or the property past the ground floor. In the unlikely event of damage being caused to your property by the delivery team, Somnus Beds will not accept responsibility for any damages or expenses. Please ensure that we have your correct contact details and a valid mobile number. If you have specific delivery requirements or live in a building that has restricted access, please make a note on the checkout section and we will call to discuss. Please note that our couriers can refuse to enter or assemble if they find it unsafe to take the bed to its desired room or if there is restricted access. Somnus Beds LTD will not be able to refund you due to restricted access or unsafe access.

Delivery costs are non-refundable for any reason. Adverse weather conditions could potentially delay your delivery, however, we will always keep you informed and where necessary re-book accordingly. If you miss your delivery date/time for any reason and we are forced to rearrange delivery, there will be a charge of £50 to cover the cost.

If the couriers arrive and find that is unsafe or that it is restricted to enter, we will not be able to refund the cost of delivery.

If you the customer decide to accept the delivery without assembly, Somnus Beds LTD cannot offer any refunds. If you refuse this service you must check the bed yourself for any damages or faults at the time of delivery before taking it in. Somnus Beds LTD cannot accept responsibility for any damages reported after the delivery team has left.

You are requested to inspect all the items thoroughly upon delivery to ensure there are no issues / damages. In case there are any damages at the time of delivery, you are required to inform the courier and make a note on the delivery forms and you must contact us right away. Any issues needs to be reported within 24 hours of the delivery. After this period the issue / damage will be attributed to accidental damage as the delivery company will not accept any liability unless recorded with them on delivery or reported to Somnus Beds LTD within 24 hours of delivery.
